Introduction
We created 2 identical pages and made them rank for the same non-sensical keyword “anghteribeef“:
We then created a nofollow link on a external website pointing towards nofollow.seojourney.co.uk to see if its position will change and if Google Search Console would report the link.
Results
- The nofollow link had no impact on the page position
- The link is not visible in Google Search Console
Conclusion
Google completely ignore nofollow links and those does not improve ranking.
